When Your Mind Tries to Spiral….Here’s What You Will Need!

2026 is a year where you believe… or you don’t.
Where you decide and rest in your decision—or spiral into the same patterns wearing a new calendar year.
Everybody’s talking about this year being the year of a fire horse or the 1 + 0, and depending on what you believe… maybe it is.
But in my opinion, this year is going to come down to something even simpler:
What you believe is either going to build you… or break you.
Because let’s be honest:
You will have negative thoughts.
You will experience challenges that try to deter you.
You will have moments that test your faith and your patience…
And what you do in those moments will determine whether you move closer to your destiny—or drift further from it.

Goal Setting Ain’t Enough
At the start of every year, many people write out visions, goals, or create boards with their ideal life pasted across it. And I’m not here to knock your process.
But I am here to tell the truth:
Those things won’t hold you up when all hell breaks loose.
A vision board won’t steady your nervous system.
A goal list won’t silence intrusive thoughts.
A “word for the year” won’t automatically keep your mind aligned when fear and doubt start talking loud.
To carry what you wrote… to birth what you prayed… to walk into what you said you want…it’s going to require mental fortitude.
Not “hustle.”
Not pretending you’re okay.
Not pushing through on fumes.
I mean the kind of inner strength that can cut through:
lies that sound logical
false narratives that feel familiar
mental chatter that tries to convince you to quit
and fear that disguises itself as wisdom
Because the greatest battle for many of us in 2026 won’t be in our schedule.
It will be in our thought life.
So for those moments—the ones where your mind starts spiraling, your emotions start rising, and your faith starts getting tested—here’s what you will need:
26 Promises of God
Remember God is with you: “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” - Deuteronomy 31:8
Receive the gift of peace: “I am leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” -John 14:27
Access to supernatural strength: “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” -Isaiah 40:31
Rest for your heart + mind: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” -Matthew 11:28
Protection from evil: “But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” -2 Thessalonians 3:3
Divine instructions: “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” -Proverbs 3:6
Godly wisdom: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” -James 1:5
Receive Gods help: “And the same God who takes care of me, will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:19
Seek God to uncover your purpose: “For I know the plans I have for you; declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11
Remember, God is making it all work out for you: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” -Romans 8:28
Just Believe: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” -John 3:16
Accept that God loves you flaws + all. Stop being hard on yourself: “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” - Romans 8:1
Trust that your mistakes are forgiven: “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” -1 John 1:9
A love that never fails: “For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” -Psalm 100:5
Embrace the love of Christ: “Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it means he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loves us.” -Romans 8:35, 37
Move like a winner: “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” -1 Corinthians 15:57
Stay persistent: “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” -Matthew 7:7
Accept the life God wants to give you: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” -John 10:10
Allow God to heal you: “He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.” -Psalm 147:3
Lean in and experience His personal love for you: “Come close to God, and God will come close to you.” -James 4:8
Trust Your Inner Voice: “But the advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all the things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” -John 14:26
Embrace that God is faithful: “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” -Lamentations 3:22-23
You can overcome any challenge: “God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” -1 Corinthians 10:13
God listens to you + helps you: “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and will bring you back from captivity.” -Jeremiah 29:12-14
Keep your joy: “You make known to me the path of life, you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” -Psalm 16:11
God has the final say: “No weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the LORD; their vindication will come from me. I, the LORD, have spoken!” -Isaiah 54:17
The beautiful thing about the promises of God is this:
They don’t falter.
They don’t renege.
They don’t change based on your mood.
You can depend on them.
You can trust that every promise God spoke will stand true—because God never lies, and His Word never fails.
When negative thoughts loom, speak the promises of God.
When fear rises, remind it what God says.
When you feel like you won’t make it, marinate on the Word until your mind settles.
God created this world—and many times, we don’t receive what we want, not because we aren’t worthy…but because we aren’t stewarding our minds well when darkness tries to attach itself to us.
Speak the Word of God over your life, your situation, and your future—and watch how the Lord will move throughout your year.
May this year be the year you choose to shift your language, change your thoughts, and speak life into every crevice of doubt, fear, and worry.
Happy New Year, loves! 🖤
God Bless,
